WHAT IS A SPIN-A-THON?
                   
    The Spin-A-Thon is a group cycling event to raise money for the Ashley Lauren Foundation, a local charity that provides financial assistance and support services for New Jersey families with children who have cancer. You can share a bike with your team mates or spin solo.
    If you can pedal a stationary bike for at least one hour, you can do this!


HOW WILL IT WORK?

• The Spin-A-Thon begins promptly at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25 and runs nonstop through 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26.   
• Each team must choose a captain who will register the team. The captain will also be responsible for making sure someone from your team is constantly riding your assigned bike for the duration of the event. Each spinner is suggested to ride for at least one hour but is not limited to one hour.  Spinning time is at the discretion of the spinner and his/her team captain.
• Space is limited, so the sooner you register a team the better!
• Individual spinners who want to participate but do not have a team will be placed on a team, and their donations will be added to the team’s total.
• Spinners will submit their respective donations when they sign in on the day of the event.
• The registration fee is $25 per person. A team can have an unlimited number of members; however, each member must raise at least $200 in donations. (The registration fee must be kept separate from pledges.)
• Food, beverages and entertainment will be provided. Spinners are encouraged to bring a sleeping bag and pillow if they plan to hang in there for the entire 24 hours.
• A barbecue, along with an auction and prize ceremony, will be held immediately after the event.
• Prizes will be awarded to the individual who raises the most money, as well as the team that raises the most collectively.  
• On the day of the event, spinners should sign in at least 30 minutes before they are scheduled to ride. Each spinner will receive a T-shirt. Enjoy!
