The Ashley Lauren Foundation Theatre Ensemble, the theatrical arm of The Ashley Lauren Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing hope and help to children throughout New Jersey who suffer from cancer through financial, material and emotional support, will present the musical, SHREK THE MUSICAL, on July 15 at 7:30 p.m. and July 16 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at The Strand Theatre, located at 400 Clifton Avenue in Lakewood, NJ.

Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek The Musical is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure featuring all new songs from Jeanine Tesori (Thoroughly Modern Millie, Caroline or Change) and a sidesplitting book by David Lindsay-Abaire. Shrek brings all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage, and proves there’s more to the story than meets the ears. You will truly enjoy a wonderful family show while helping children that are suffering from cancer.

Tickets are reserved seating $16.00 and up. There is a special VIP Dinner/Show Package for $40.00 on Friday, July 15th at 6 p.m. at The Strand. The package includes: premium seating, dinner & dessert by Carrabba’s Italian Grill and a meet & greet with the cast.
