The Ashley Lauren Foundation will be holding its 20th Annual Scott Chinery SUMMERFEST for Children with Cancer on July 24, 2016.
This annual event is given to these special children as a “day away.” Inflicted with this insidious disease, they endure many traumas while undergoing treatment and this day-long event of swimming, entertainment, games, rides, activities, food and much more brings tremendous joy to the hearts of these children and their families. Approximately 200+ are in attendance each year and our job is to provide all that we can for them. The reward is to see the smiles on the faces of each child who, for a short time, can forget about their illness and just “be kids.”
We are asking for your assistance with this very important event by doing a Toy Drive for us. One of the aspects (and favorite) of Summerfest, is our “Toy Room.” The children go through the room and choose their favorite new toys to take home with them. Your assistance will go far in providing happiness to some very courageous children and their families. We are seeking new, fun, unwrapped toys (no stuffed animals) for ages 3-18.
The Ashley Lauren Foundation’s annual Lakewood BlueClaws Fundraiser will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016. The Lakewood BlueClaws will be playing the Greenboro Grasshoppers, game time will begin at 7:05 pm. The Ashley Lauren Foundation Theatre Ensemble will be singing the National Anthem at the game.

Get Out of the Cold…Give Back, Feel Good! Get a Haircut to Help Kids Fighting Cancer The staff of the Figaro II Barber Shop of Manalapan will be giving haircuts to anyone that makes a $10.00 minimum donation to The Ashley Lauren Foundation, a non-profit located in Spring Lake that assists New Jersey children with cancer and their families through financial, material and emotional support.
Unisex hair stylists will be available at the Marlboro Township Recreation Center, located on Wyncrest Road (near Rt. 520) in Marlboro from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2016. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the foundation. On Saturday, April 30, 2016 – Super Buy-Rite Wine & Liquor and Buy-Rite Wines & Liquor present the annual Super Sampling, a benefit The Sarala Bathena Foundation and The Ashley Lauren Foundation, both foundations are New Jersey-based and offer financial assistance to cancer patients and their families. This event will feature more than 500 fine wines, craft brews and artisan spirits.
